DANISH ORIGINALS is a podcast series co-presented by American Friends of Statens Museum for Kunst (AFSMK) and Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK), and sponsored by Scan Design Foundation and Studio Haslund. 

From her home in New York, Danish soprano Julie Reumert prepares for the world premiere of the photographic oratorio Number Our Days at the Perelman Performing Arts Center. Julie shares her journey from The Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen to the the Big Apple's Manhattan School of Music that established the foundation for her performance and teaching career in opera in New York. She talks about training, opportunities, and auditions.

"VEAL" by Harrison Atelier. World premiere and performance at "The Invisible Dog"  In this performance/design work by Harrison Atelier, five installations in the main gallery of the Invisible Dog Art Center trace the life-cycle of the industrial animal, revealing, through designed objects, original music and choreography, the inhumane presumption at the core of a vast economy hidden from public view. VEAL highlights the ethical and environmental consequences of industrialized animal slaughter.
