Julie Reumert is a Lyric Soprano living in New York. Ms. Reumert was born in Denmark and began her studies very early on at The Royal Academy of Music. After finishing her Master Degree in Voice she got accepted as the first Danish singer to the Manhattan School of Music where she graduated with a Master in Opera in 2012. Ms. Reumert has sustained national and international acclaim since she was the age of 10 singing on national tv for the Queen of Denmark.

Julie’s professional work has been acclaimed by major media around the world including the New York Times, The New Yorker, and Vogue Magazine. She has appeared in publications well-known inside opera circles and also in major national and international media for general audiences. Ms. Reumert was asked to present a “TED Talk” and performance for the TED Conference in New York City. She has also appeared in virtually all major Danish newspapers, magazines, and online publications.

Julie has consistently been chosen by distinguished opera houses across the globe to fill leading roles and featured solo parts in prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, New York Lyric Opera, and Lincoln Center. Throughout her young career, Julie has won numerous international and national awards for excellence in her field. Some of Ms. Reumert’s opera performances include Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel” at the New York Lyric Opera, Amor in “the Coronation of Poppea” at Lincoln Center, “Kate Pinkerton” in Madame Butterfly at Carnegie Hall, in the world premiere of the project "VEAL" at The Invisible Dog in Brooklyn, as Eurydice in “Orfeo and Eurydice” at the Opera of Fyen in Denmark, Venus in “the Judgment of Paris” at the Manhattan School of Music, and Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet” at La Lingua Della Lyrica in Italy. She has also performed as the lead soprano and soloist in performances around the world— with the Copenhagen Philharmonis, the Orchestra of Etat’s Opera Concert in Denmark, Hungary and Mexico.

When Julie isn't performing she teaches young professional singers at her private studio located in New York. Julie studied vocal pedagogy with some of the leading vocal pedagogues in the world at Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music.
